But there’s a catch. High-density tubes throw off a lot of ambient heat. If you try to squeeze maximum wattage into a tiny space, things get hot—fast. Make sure your cooling fans are up to the task, or you might find your sockets melting. It’s also worth double-checking your clearance gaps. A little bit of breathing room goes a long way in making sure your tubes don’t fail early.
