When we sat down to design this quartz lamp, we wanted something that hit the sweet spot. You know, that middle ground between those basic halogen tubes and the massive industrial heaters that take up half a room. At 1000W and 220V, it gives you a solid, steady hit of heat across a half-meter stretch. If you’re running mid-sized drying tunnels or PET heating stations, this is usually a perfect drop-in replacement. The power side of things Because the 1000W is spread across 545mm, you don’t have to worry about those nasty hot spots that warp your materials. It’s consistent. Since it runs on 220V, you can plug it right into most industrial grids without messing around with heavy transformers. Just a heads-up: keep an eye on your wiring gauge. If your voltage drops, your heat drops. It’s as simple as that. What’s actually inside? We went with a carbon-based element wrapped in high-purity quartz. Here’s the cool part: carbon hits a different wavelength than the old tungsten stuff. It actually digs deeper into the material you’re heating. To make that work, the quartz has to be spotless. Any impurities in the glass, and the lamp will burn out way too fast because the core gets so hot. Using it in the real world These are great for PET blowing, curing paint, or welding plastics. They ramp up to temperature way faster than ceramic heaters, which saves you a lot of waiting around. But, there is a catch. Quartz is fragile. If your shop floor vibrates a lot, or if someone touches the glass with their bare hands, you’re asking for trouble. The oils from your skin create tiny hotspots that can crack the tube. **Do yourself a favor: wear clean gloves when you install these.**It’ll make your lamps last a whole lot longer.
