Getting the Most Out of Our 650mm Carbon Fiber Heaters

If you’re dealing with high-density thermal loads, you know the struggle. Standard quartz halogen tubes just don’t always cut it. That’s why we built these 230V, 2600W carbon fiber lamps. They ramp up fast. Really fast. And at 650mm, they cover a lot of ground, so you don’t have to worry about those annoying cold spots popping up in your heating chamber. A word of caution on the power side. Pulling 2600W at 230V is no joke. It puts a real strain on your power supply. Before you plug these in, double-check your wiring and contactors. If they aren’t rated for this kind of current, you’re looking at burnt-out terminals. Also, these things get aggressive. Since the heat density is so high, make sure your housing has plenty of breathing room or some active ventilation. Otherwise, your reflectors might start warping under the pressure. Why carbon fiber? It’s all about how the heat moves. Instead of a metal coil, the carbon fiber element spreads heat more evenly across that 650mm span. This means you won’t see those “hot stripes” ruining your workpiece. Plus, carbon fiber handles the stress of rapid heating and cooling much better than cheap alloys. It can take a beating. Fitting them into your setup We can handle the OEM side of things for you. If you need specific end-cap configurations so these just slide right into your existing rigs, we’ve got you covered. But here’s the trade-off: carbon fiber is a bit more delicate than thick-walled quartz. It doesn’t love physical shocks. If your machine shakes or vibrates a lot, do yourself a favor and use dampened mounts. One last tip: wire these up to a PID controller. You want tight temperature swings. If you just run them at full tilt without a control loop, you’ll blow right past your target temperature before you even realize it.
